Pictures! Turn that Blah-g into a blog.

We made it to Bali!  Our first night in the worst tourist town ever, Kuta.  We did find this heart to help set the tone for our  trip, though.

Our first little bungalow on Gili Air.  Off the coast of Bali.

Some local girls in Sape, the town we got stuck in for a few days waiting for the ferry.  Little money and big smiles in this town.

A macro shot with our now defunct "waterproof" camera.  Soft corals in Indonesia off the coast of Flores.

Another macro shot near Flores.  We are super bummed that the camera didn't live up to its promise.

I found Nemo!  And his mom.

At the top of Kelimutu on Flores.  It was a long journey to get to Flores and this volcano, but well worth it.  It was a much less traveled area of Indonesia.  This was one of three minerally colored lakes.  One was jet black.

You think monkeys are so cute and fun. My mistake was to peel and apple and not share.  I got charged with bared teeth!

I love Asian English!

Underwater garden!

The Trang Islands in Thailand - this was Ko Muk, a wonderful little island.  Super quiet and a fun place to be for 5 nights.

Long tails boats, limestone formations and crystal clear water.

Kayaking to the Emerald Cave from Ko Muk.

The Emerald Cave - tied the boat to a buoy and swam 80 meters through a cave to this "hidden" delight. Pretty amazing!

It's an albino fish!

Bubble up!

Beautiful sunsets from the beach on Ko Muk.

The black spot is a swirling group of fish that came near the beach every day.  We got in the middle of them before this shot with our snorkel gear and and swam with them as they swirled down the beach.  Pretty cool to be surrounded by 10,000 fish.
Back in Indonesia on Gili Air we found this cottage spot.  We couldn't resist a photo shoot.

On a boat ride to Komodo National Park in Indonesia.  Those dragons are huge! 2 meters long.

The flight was comfortable and on time but the motto didn't instill us with the greatest confidence.  If they skimped on the translator how are things going with the mechanics in the hangar?

I've aged since you last saw me...  A Balinese dance in Ubud.

We kept our coints in our pockets.

I've been eating a lot of bananas!

Back in Thailand at a temple complex at the Grand Palace.  That's Goldgold, in case you're wondering for the Sherwin Williams match.

Kira blends in with the locals wherever we go.

I almost kept it like that!

They had to get out the big broom to sweep up that mess!

A positive monkey experience!  Lesson learned, share the food with the monkey.

Taking a break in between Valentine's Day dives.  We left from Ko Muk and had two nice dives.  Good thing the divemaster was patient - we were enjoying a relaxing breakfast when we figured out the clock at the restaurant was correct and that ours was still on Indonesian time, with a slow battery.  We were only 23 minutes late to meet the crew.  Everyone forgave us.  The water in this picture was about 81 degrees!

We took a nice trip around the island on Ko Surin - a National Marine Park that we camped at for 5 nights.  No cars or roads.  Just other campers and staff, white flour sand and turquoise blue water.  Perfect!

Traveling is hard work!

Our little tent on Ko Surin.

Ko Surin - paradise island.
